Representing a powerful cross-section of the business events industry in Africa, the panel of speakers announced for ibtm africa 2017 will work through topical trends, insightful case studies and reports on how this industry is evolving on the African continent.

Chardonnay Marchesi, General Manager of Africa Travel Week, which incorporates ibtm africa, said: “We are proud, not only to share what promises to be an impelling programme on 20 and 21 April 2017, but a panel of speakers that will provide insights and impart knowledge that can further develop this industry in the coming years.”

Up for discussion at ibtm africa 2017 is a string of topics including what is currently hot (and what is not) in MICE, new trends in MICE including ConFex and Bleisure, a case study on how Rwanda has positioned itself as a major player in the business events industry of Africa, and where Africa is at right now when it comes to business events.

In addition to covering the business events industry, ibtm africa will focus further afield on the benefits of Sports Tourism in Africa on 20 April, and the insightful world of digital marketing through the E-Tourism Africa Summit on 21 April.

“We are delighted to be bringing the popular E-Tourism Africa Summit to the programme this year in Cape Town. The event will feature a range of renowned speakers giving the latest insights into the new technologies and trends that are reshaping the tourism landscape in Africa and showcasing how local companies and destinations can take their marketing to the next level” stated Damian Cook, the CEO of E-Tourism Frontiers.
