Bank Windhoek beefs up Human Resources department
Bank Windhoek announced this week the appointment of Stephanie Viljoen as Executive Officer: Human Resources with effect 1 March 2017.
Viljoen, a Namibian by birth, joins Bank Windhoek after 19 years at Barclays Africa as Human Resources Executive.
She obtained a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology and started working at Absa (now Barclays) as a graduate. During her career she’s had multiple roles in Human Resources. The last of which, was as Head of Human Resources for Africa Technology.
Viljoen’s role included leading the HR function across 12 African countries, India and UK, with a client base of 5 000. She also led both transformational and strategic aspects of HR across the various disciplines.
“The Bank is on a very exciting trajectory and I am privileged to be part of the journey. I am excited to join a business team as well as an HR team that strives to be impactful and to make a difference. Passion and energy is definitely not lacking in the team and together we can create magic,” said Viljoen.
Like any true HR Professional, Viljoen believes that employees are the heartbeat of any successful organisation.
