Archery Championships on this weekend

The 5th Namibian National Target Archery Championships will be held at the SKW Archery Range in Windhoek this coming weekend.
This year 44 archers have entered the competition that will be spread over two and a half days, with Friday afternoon reserved for official practice and registration. On Saturday, spectators are encouraged to come and witness what archers can do with an arrow at distances of up to 90 metres.
The spectator highlight will be the elimination matches on Sunday. Matches on this day are expected to start at 10:00. Spectators are encouraged to bring binoculars, and follow the accurate placement of arrows by some of the best archers in Namibia.
World Archery Continental Judge, Mike Wish from Grahamstown, South Africa will be judge at this year’s competition. Mike will add some international flavour to the competition, and for our local archers this will be another step on the development ladder.
The Archery Association of Namibia is thankful for the financial support of the Namibia National Olympic Committee that was used to cover the travel expenses from Grahamstown to Windhoek and back.
