Classic car surrounded by classy club members

The Economist Businesswoman Club gathered earlier this month in the spectacular Jaguar showroom for one of its regular business breakfasts. The breakfast hostess is the incumbent Namibian Businesswoman of the Year and Managing Director of Bank Windhoek, Baronice Hans (left front). Here she is joined by Mias Strauss, (left) a psychologist who was the main presenter, Desèré Lundon-Muller (behind Baronice), the club’s chairperson and Marketing Manager of the Economist, with Jaguar Dealer Principal, Albert Pretorius, Telecom’s Hayley Olivier and the Young Businesswoman of the Year, Tanya Stroh, on the right. After the psychology treat, Eleni Skincare offered a large hamper of skincare products as a raffle for the club members. The Businesswoman Club and its activities are sponsored by Telecom Namibia, Standard Bank Namibia and Jaguar Land Rover, a company in the Bidvest stable. (Photograph by Noriene van Wyk)

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
