Locals score with top brand

The Namib Mills Top Score Mokasie Challenge has kicked off with a bang! The Top Score Mokasie crew is visiting a number of towns across Namibia in order to select the number one Top Score family in each town.
To date, five families have won prize money ranging from N$8 900 to N9 750. All they had to do was send a unique code located inside a 5kg or 10kg Top Score promotional pack and participate in the games which are aired on the national broadcaster, every week.
One of the winners, Benedidus Seibeb from Gobabis, said he was very excited by the surprise visit from the crew. Benedidus and his family walked away with a total of N$9 750. “We had to build a puzzle, kick a couple of soccer balls and answer questions about Top Score” he explained. “The prize money has helped us to acquire an erf from the local municipality. We look forward to building our own house.”
Sara David, who stays in the Hakahana informal settlement in Windhoek, won N$9 280.
The Top Score Mokasie Crew Challenge will visit different towns until 7 July.  Three possible winners will be selected per town, who will then be entered into a final draw where the final Top Score winner will be chosen. The households visited will be required to present the promotional pack.
“The main aim of the competition is to reward our loyal customers and at the same time provide a fun way for the family to participate,” said Margereth Gustavo, marketing manager at Namib Mills. In order to participate in the competition, consumers must buy the 5kg or 10kg Top Score pack and then SMS their full name the town in which they are residing and the unique number found inside the promotional pack and, to 25000.
Consumers can enter as many times as they like, provided that each time a new unique number is used. SMSes are charged at N$1. A random draw will be conducted per identified geographical location. The winning names will be audited and verified by the auditors from SGA.
