34 countries to attend Women in Sport meet

The African Women in Sport Association (Awisa) will have its general assembly elective meeting from 13 to 14 May in Windhoek.
The two day conference and General Assembly which will be held at Safari Hotel and Conference Centre in Windhoek and Keith Allies, Namibia sports Consultant said that, 34 African countries representatives are set to attend the event.
The event will be graced by the Hon. Pendukeni Ivula-Ithana, Namibia Home Affairs and Immigration Minister and President of the Africa Women in Sport Association.
The AWISA conference and Elective General Assembly Meeting will be held together with preparations for the transformation from the previous Supreme Council of Sport in Africa structure to the current Africa Union Regional Structures.
Furthermore, in a statement released by the Office of the Namibia Women in Sport Association through the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, elections for the new office bearers for the AU Regional and Management Structures will also be conducted.
