The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has thrown its weight behind the Dr Hage Geingob Soccer Cup with an amount of N$500,000 for each of the two editions.

Toska Sem, Strategic Executive: Business Strategy at the Airports Company said “When the Airports Company was approached to support the Dr. Hage Geingob Cup in 2014, it was a fantastic opportunity for us to honour the legacy of His Excellency as well as support an initiative that goes a long way in nation-building.”
“Football remains the number one sport of unity in our country and it is evident in the wide and wild celebrations of the success of the Brave Warriors, champions of COSAFA 2015. The more competitions we have, the better for our footballers. We believe our investment in this social event is worthwhile and we relish the opportunity” she said.
She added that the Airports Company aims to make a difference in the lives of ordinary Namibians, especially footballers who benefit from appearance fees for their participation in the competition and of course the general public who would see great football.
“Again, touching the lives of Namibians and our brothers and sisters across the borders of Namibia is indispensable for us. Being part of this Cup is a fulfilling mission for us as we, together with others, create memories and share them with whoever is interested in a positive change,” said Sem.
