Cyclists make waves

The winner of last weekend’s Hollard MTB Festival Tristan de Lange (middle) is flanked by second-placed Brandon Plaatjes (right) and Dan Craven who came in third.

Team KIA Elite rider Brandon Plaatjes underlined the quality of the up and coming bunch of cyclist making waves time and again as the silver medallist of the African champs took the second place in 3:01:17. Namibia’s most well-known and currently most successful cyclist Dan Craven complete the podium in third (3:04:24). The veteran women’s division was not as tightly contested. Petra Compion rode to victory in 3:57:48. Second place went to Patricia Hoeksema (3:59:52) and third place to Renata Stolze (4:34:51).
