Amateur artists to showcase

Bank Windhoek in partnership with the National Art Gallery Of Namibia launched the 30×30 Art Competition on Thursday.

The competition will give an opportunity to amateur artist all over the 14 regions who have no formal institution training in arts or that have not participated in formal exhibitions to show case their talent.
The competition strives at promoting visual arts, discovering new, fresh talent, encourage artistic creativity and quality individual expression. The 30×30 competition participants will be offered prepared canvases to prompt the artist to work in any material or medium of their choice,including found or recycled materials.
The two categories for the competition are Secondary School level and amateur level. Winners of the competition will receive N$750 to N$1000 for a canvas depending on the level entered. The artist work will be distributed to all Bank Windhoek branches in all the 14 regions.
