Law Society bursaries for law students

The Law Society of Namibia announced this week it has extended four more bursaries to new law students, joining the existing six bursary holders supported by the Society.

The Law Society, with the assistance of the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund, has awarded 10 bursaries every year for the past 18 years. The Society has invested well over N$3 million in legal education at graduate level.
The newly appointed Attorney General, Sacky Shangala, has completed his law studies with the aid of Law Society bursaries.
The four new bursary holders are Brunah Mutelembi (UNAM), Joas Neemwatya (UNAM), Karischa Schmidt (UNAM) and Carmen Strauss (UOVS).
The six existing bursary holders are Alexanderie Basson (Maties), Caillin Basson (UNAM), Enrico Hamaseb (UNAM), Petrus Hatupopi (UNAM), Hilma Moses (UNAM) and Nangula Nafuka (UNAM).
