Sun Wins Meatco competition

The Namibian Sun team was ecstatic when they were announced overall winners at the final event of the Meatco Media Chef of the Year competition last Friday .The Namibian Sun team managed to take first place, ahead of the Namibian newspaper and New Era. The media chef of the year is an annual promotional event organised and hosted by Meatco. Participating teams all come from various media institutions. Meatco is very generous with the meat which usually forms the pivotal part of the competition. Participating teams have to provide add-ons, side dishes, setting and an appropriate theme. The competition is judged in various categories such as General Impression, Preparation of the meat, Vegetables/Salad, Roosterkoek, and finally, Overall Winner.
