Maerua Mall to host maiden Valentine’s Day Gift Market in February

Maerua Mall will host a Valentine’s Day Gift Market in the Mr Price atrium from 10 to 14 February in celebration of the month of love.

During this period, visitors to the Mall will find stalls selling flowers, chocolates, confectioneries and a range of other covetable Valentine’s Day gifts to suit every pocket, and will also be treated to Valentine’s Day sales at participating retailers.

“Our goal is to make it easy and enjoyable for shoppers to find the perfect gifts to show their appreciation for those around them on Valentine’s Day,” according to Carel Fourie, CEO of Oryx Properties, owners of Maerua Mall.

To show love to its customers, on 10 February, Maerua Mall will team up with FreshFM to bring Valentine’s cheer to the hearts of a few selected shoppers.

“Cupid will be on duty from 10am to 3pm looking for the happiest couples and picking up the bill for them, up to the value of N$500. FreshFM will also be broadcasting live from Maerua’s market, spreading the love all over Namibia,” the organisors added.

Furthermore, coffee shops like Wimpy, Dulce Café and Yealis Bistro and pizza joints like Debonairs and eateries like Capello, John Dory’s and Peppercorn Grill and Steak, Maerua Mall will have something for every taste and occasion.

According to Fourie other entertainment spots include the five Ster-Kinekor silver-screen cinemas to choose from as well as the brand-new Family Entertainment Centre – which offers fun activities for the young and the young-at-heart, including an “Around the World”-themed 18-hole glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course, trampolines, tenpin bowling and more.

“The Family Entertainment Centre, built just last year, is one of our proudest achievements, offering fun for the whole family,” he added.

Maerua Mall currently has over 120 outlets, it’s the second-biggest shopping centre in the country, with some of the most exciting flagship stores in the country, but its design ensures that nobody ever feels crowded.
