Midgard undergoing several stages of renovation
Midgard Country Estate, part of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Leisure portfolio has started with renovations of it premises so as to upgrade and enhance the experience of its guests.
According to O&L Leisure Managing Director, Terence Makari, Midgard will undergo several stages of renovation over the next few months.
Makari said “This is the first phase of executing the master plan for Midgard, and entails minor renovations to existing structures and the removal of certain absolute structures. The renovations are being done to revitalize, upgrade and enhance our guests’ experience, and to return Midgard to its former glory where memories have been created amongst friends and family, and to bring the property on par with the others within the O&L Leisure portfolio.”
According to Makari, this first phase comes at a cost of N$1 Million. Makari said, “The most notable experience, especially to those that have been to Midgard before will be the unobstructed views from the restaurants to the outside as well as a completely new “Braai” experience with the renovations of the Bali Boma at the pool bar.
Midgard Country Estate is known for its diverse offerings to people of all ages, and from different corners of life. Makari: “It is an ideal ‘away from the city’ conferencing destination, popular for its warm hearted service delivery of a team dedicated to exceed customer expectations. Located 60 minutes or 85 km northeast of Windhoek, and 70 km from the Hosea Kutako International Airport in the unspoiled Otjihavero Mountains, Midgard Country Estate can accommodate up to 102 guests at a time and currently employs 78 Namibians. Makari stressed that doors will remain open, even during renovations.
