Helping orphans and vulnerable children through the winter, Standard Bank Namibia donated N$10,000 to Operation Snowball’s Winter Project.
The latest sponsorship will be used to purchase 200 blankets for needy children.
Operation Snowball is a targetted intervention driven by the Michelle McLean Children’s Trust.
“Standard Bank Namibia is pleased to be associated with this worthwhile cause that ultimately means a warmer winter for disadvantaged children” said Surihe Gaomas-Guchu, the bank’s PR & Communications Manager.
Project Manager of the Michelle McLean Children’s Trust, Fritz Zender said he appreciates this kind gesture as “it will greatly benefit the grassroots children during the cold winter months.”

The project which has been running for the past 18 years, is managed by the Michelle McLean Children’s Trust.
This year also marks the 22nd anniversary of the Michelle McLean Children’s Trust.  The purpose of this project which runs from April to July each year is to collect blankets, dry tinned food and winter clothing for needy children during the winter season. Last year more than 50 groups in seven regions received these donations from more than 30 donors.
