What a large auditorium for African Unity
Hundreds of delegates graced the auditorium of the recently completed AU Complex and Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to chart a new social and economic path for Africa. Leaders from all over Africa met this week at the 22nd Ordinary Session of the African Union to pay homage to Nelson Mandela, and to deliberate on the Union’s future course. The session also noted the recent Malagasy elections welcoming Africa’s newest president H.E Rakatoarimanana to the podium. Ethiopian Prime Minister Dessalegn opened proceedings followed by the singing of the AU national anthem.
