Bidvest Namibia Cup returns

Soccer fans are in for a thrill when the Bidvest Namibia Cup makes a return on 08 February 2014 with the preliminary rounds of the competition. The Bidvest Namibia Cup enables teams at various tiers to compete against each other and prove their football prowess.
The play – off format utilised during the previous campaign will be used again. Matches will be played in all 13 regions affording many soccer lovers the chance to see their favourite teams play close up. Over 200 teams will participate in this year’s tournament.

Dr Korbian Amuthenya, Honourary President of the Namibia Football Association said the tournament further reaffirms the partnership of Namibia Football Association and Bidvest Namibia.  “As NFA we are pleased with this alliance with Bidvest Namibia and furthermore look forward to the future with anticipation and elation,” hesaid
Champions African Stars have been drawn against coastal giants Eleven Arrows whilst Katutura outfit Tigers FC will take on Civics. Blue Waters will take on Rundu side Julinho FC. Katutura titans Orlando Pirates was the luckiest of the professional sides and will square off against an amateur team from the Ohangwena region.
