Namsure Insurance Brokers, a subsidiary of the Pointbreak Group, confirmed this week that it has acquired the entire business of BeSure, a prominent Namibian short-term insurance brokerage.
This transaction included the full integration of the BeSure team into Namsure.
According to Namsure chief executive, Hennie Köhne, the size and the quality of the BeSure book is a meaningful addition to Namsure’s business.
“Both teams share a standard of excellence in driving a very personal approach to their respective service models.
Namsure is most delighted to welcome BeSure on board and we look forward to capitalise on our joint strengths.
Collectively the Namsure team will now offer exactly 100 years of work experience in the short term insurance industry”, Köhne said.
BeSure’s owner, Elize Jacobs regarded the transaction as a win-win.
“Whilst bolstering the Namsure book, BeSure’s clients will gain access to the depth and diversity of the Namsure team.
Our first priority will be to effect a smooth business integration, which will be underpinned by an uncompromising service level and product offering”.
The effective date of the transaction was 1 November 2013.
