Jaguar shows ultimate craftsmanship in new F-Type

It roars with power, the superb and dangerously gorgeous Jaguar F-Type.

It roars with power, the superb and dangerously gorgeous Jaguar F-Type.

Now the Windhoek Show attracts many visitors. Some come to shop, others use it as excuse to come out the house, others come to see the interesting stalls and maybe get some gifts for friends or family, others for the food, rides and entertainment while others like myself, come to see what cars are on display.
I went to the Windhoek Show expecting to see the cars I see on the road everyday but instead got a feel of something else. For a moment or so I acted like a school girl who has been asked out on a date by her crush or someone that had gotten a surprise visit from their favourite TV star. It’s not hard to see why when you also take a look at Jaguar’s latest offering in the automobile industry. When you see this car,  you will jump and be gushy.
The all new Jaguar F-Type is something out of this world. It excites you at first glance, then goes on to invite you to step in for an unforgettable ride and maybe a speed chase or two. The two-seater F-Type described as the spiritual successor to the iconic Jaguar E-Type of 1961 is what you get when a company delivers at the very top of its game. Jaguar definitely delivered dynamite in their first new sports car in 50 years.
There are two versions of the car available, supercharged 3.0 L V6 and the supercharged 5.0 L V8. Most cars on the market have either got the looks or the power but not both. The British carmakers proved to everyone that we can have both when they created the F-Type. The V8 model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 4.3 seconds and is electronically limited to a top speed of 300 km/h.
With such gorgeous looks both on the interior and exterior its not hard to fall in love with the car. I mean what’s not there to love:  a beautifully crafted spoiler that can be lifted up or kept down to the level of the boot, stylish alloy wheels, a grill that speaks volumes, leather seats, aircon, 18-inch alloys to sports suspension and brakes, electric leather seats with suede facings and enough leg room, all these make the F-Type the ultimate sports car where lovers dreams come true.
Its twin exhausts and incredible engine work together to bring a good sound at the turn of the key.  Special sound valves in the exhaust system open under load from 3000rpm allowing the exhaust note to build to a thrilling climax.
Also, this is a true all-weather car. It doesn’t matter the type of weather you will be driving in.  Whether it’s in cool weather where you can drop down the roof and feel the wind in your hair or when it’s raining, you are guaranteed to turn a lot of heads and maybe even make some people drool or green with envy.
The F-Type is available at Novel Motors in Windhoek. Pricing starts from N$1.1 million but before you start making faces at the price, remember the saying: Go Big or Go home. There is not a doubt in the world that the Jaguar F-Type is definitely my type of car. As I left the show, thoughts of robbing a bank just to get myself one invaded my mind. If only it were that easy I sighed, and said to myself, I have to win the lottery, I have to win the lottery.
