National broadcaster launches NBC Cares

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) recently launched ‘NBC Cares’ project which falls under their Corporate Social Responsibility.

NBC Cares is structured around mobilizing capable stakeholders as well as the general public to deploy resources in order to assist and aid the most adversely affected communities due to the COID-19 pandemic and association rising socio-economic disruptions.

Beaulah Boois, Corporate Communication Officer at NBC said they seek to collaborate with Corporates, NGO’s, SME’s and the government in order to source and distribute aid to communities in needs.

She explained that companies around the country are going through exceptionally difficult times and their role in these trying times is to serve as a catalyst and therefore aims to continue in its endeavour in the fulfilment of its mandate to the nation.

“The companies that donate a minimum of N$15,000 qualify for a free airtime or mileage package,” she concluded.
