OK, you can breathe now!
Oshikoto Regional Governor Penda ya Ndakolo (centre right) and a large delegation of minor party officials visited the Tsumeb smelter this week to view the progress made by Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb to improve its health and environmental systems following a cabinet directive issued last year. During a slide presentation and walk-through inspection of the smelter’s production areas, the governor congratulated its General Manager Hans Nolte (centre left) on the multimillion dollar structural upgrades and other improvements the company has instituted in its bid to become a global competitor in the smelting industry. The governor’s delegation comprised Tsumeb Constituency Councilor Lebbius Tobias, SWAPO Regional Coordinator Armas Amukwiyu, SWAPO Regional Treasurer Engel Nawatiseb, Chief of the Oshivelo Nation Chief Nashikaku, Tsumeb Municipal Councillor Mathews Hangula, and NUNW Northern Regional Coordinator Ingenesia David.
