FNB – best bank again

FNB Namibia received the Best Bank in Namibia award. This prestigious award is hosted and awarded by The Banker magazine in London. This is the fourth consecutive year that FNB Namibia has walked away with this prestigious accolade. Judges select only one winning bank for each country which is what makes The Banker “Bank of Year Award” a highly rated industry benchmark.
Ian Leyenaar, CEO of FNB was delighted with the prize and said: “We are extremely happy about this award and wish to thank our staff, management, and board but more importantly, our customers, because without them this would not have been possible. We know that the programme rewards and promotes industry wide excellence in the global banking community and we are proud that we have been chosen as the number one bank in Namibia, for the fourth time in a row. This means we are doing things right and how can we help you is paying off.”
Associate Publisher of The Banker, Philip Church said the trust that clients have shown in FNB Namibia through the recent financial crisis would serve FNB well. He added: “The recognition of being named ‘Bank of the Year 2012’ in your country by the world’s longest running international banking title is testimony to the strong management, sound business model and prudent risk approach of your institution.”
Leyenaar said they will continue to focus on measured customer service and loyalty as well as innovative products and services to keep providing value for money for all FNB stakeholders. This year alone we came up with some great products which give access to banking for even more Namibians. We remain committed to the Namibian Government’s call for banking for all and continue to provide cost effective products and services to all Namibians.
