National Art Gallery calls on artists to submit artwork for the BOOTH Exhibition

Artists are being urged to submit artwork by the National Art Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) for consideration for the BOOTH exhibition which will take place in the Main gallery of the NAGN.

Art work selected will be displayed from 20 February 2018 to 3 May 2018.

Each artist will receive 2×2m2 of freedom to display their work and these squares will be demarcated, and artists are invited to intervene in the space in whatever way they choose to. The demarcated areas, grids and boundaries are to make-up of BOOTH.

Artworks can be 2D, 3D or ephemeral (performance) in nature and submissions are not limited to Namibian Citizens or residents. Submissions should be accompanied by an artist statement about the artwork to the NAGN by 17:00 on 5 February 2018.

Artists are encouraged to take this opportunity to intervene into a delineated physical and conceptual space, working within the boundaries to challenge the boundaries. It is not guaranteed that artwork submitted for consideration will be selected for exhibition and unselected works will need to be collected by the artist once contacted by the NAGN.
