The Bankers Association of Namibia (BAN) unveiled its new logo. The logo replaces the one that the Association has been using since its establishment in 1997.
“The new logo is modern with a proudly Namibian association. The grey colour in the logo represents strength, stability, maturity and strength in character. The gold colour represents warmth and wealth. These are all attributes of the banking sector in Namibia that the Bankers Association of Namibia would like to entrench through the new logo” said Chairman of the Bankers Association of Namibia, Christo de Vries.
Members of the association, Bank Windhoek, first National Bank Namibia, Standard Bank Namibia and Nedbank Namibia remain committed to the promotion of consumer education initiatives on banking matters, with the aim of promoting transparent, fair, efficient and cost-effective service delivery to the public. The members also support the Namibia Financial Literacy Initiative under the Ministry of Finance which was launched in March this year to coordinate the implementation of financial literacy and consumer protection related activities in Namibia.
“Bankers Association Of Namibia recognised that its brand needed to be repositioned to more accurately reflect a modern and innovative Association. The new logo of BAN will in future be used on all material and communication issued by the Association and will ensure greater visibility of the Association as it fulfils its role as an industry association,” said de Vries.
