08 December 2016 – The favourite beer of many Namibians, Windhoek Draught was recognised for its taste and quality at a recent European event where 44 countries entered their beer products for adjudication by an international panel.
Windhoek Draught received a bronze medal at the annual European Beer Star Awards, held early in November in Nuremberg, Germany.
Windhoek Draught bagged the bronze medal in the category ‘European Style Mild Lager’.
The Head Brewer at Namibia Breweries Ltd, Christian Müller, said “Only one beer of the same category is allowed to enter per brewery. Therefore only Windhoek Draught participated this year.
