FABlab captures designers attention
Bjorn Wiedow, the co-founder and Deputy Director of FABlab addressing student from the College of the Arts earlier this week. The techno whizkid told the students about the applications of 3D printing and the enormous potential it holds for future manufacturing.
The FABlab in Windhoek resorts under the Namibia University of Science and Technology. It is the first advanced manufacturing, prototyping and design laboratory in Namibia and the largest FABlab currently in Africa. The laboratory was established in partnership with the Ministry of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development to enhance local product competitiveness, bridge the technological divide through access to new machinery, tools, knowledge, skills and equipment.
