Katuka runs in the lead with mentorship

The Katuka Mentorship programme for 2016 launched last week with the first orientation training for mentors and mentees. The selection panel consists of Ms Inge Zamwaani, a Presidential Advisor, Sabine Ruegg from Thalestris Training Consultancy and Ms Desèré Lundon-Muller of the Economist. Katuka is the mentorship programme launched by the late Lena Markus in July 2001, former Businesswoman of the Year 2000 in the category Corporate/Professional. The programme is sponsored by Telecom Namibia. See article on page 2.

Typesetter

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
