Mass housing gains traction in South

The Keetmanshoop Municipality last week received the first 240 erven from the private developer, Premium Trading Enterprises, as part of the Mass Housing project in the southern capital.

Manager: Finance Keetmanshoop Municipality, Mr. Ebson Booysen, the MD of Premium Trading Enterprises, Mr. David Eigub from the Civil Engineer Knight Piesold, Ms. Maria Ming and Mr. Alejandro Menendez from the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development. he Keetmanshoop Municipality also announced this week that the show grounds have been renovated at a cost of N$11 million with the assistance of various partners, to provide a safe and hospitable venue to the residents of Keetmanshoop. The Supervisor Parks, Mr. Wesley Steenkamp said that for many years, the show grounds have only been used for rugby matches, hosting the annual show and the occasional wedding, but the venue have now been opened to the broader public for other sport events, music shows, corporate workshops, political rallies and weddings.
