It was automobiles galore last week at the just ended Standard Bank Auto Show held at the SKW Sports Fields in Windhoek.

“Standard Bank Namibia is once again proud of the success achieved at the 2015 Auto Show during the past weekend,” said Surihe Gaomas-Guchu, Acting Head of Marketing at Standard Bank Namibia. “Namibians turned out in their thousands to witness the latest models on show.”
Thirty-two dealerships participated and Standard Bank expected 22,000 visitors to the 2015 Standard Bank Auto Show and “Biltongfees”. “The organisers are busy reconciling and finalising the latest statistics of the show. We will soon make a further announcement of the final statistics,” confirmed Gaomas-Guchu.
Visitors to the show enjoyed entertainment by leading Namibian and South African artists; the display of the latest vehicles; a display of “Old Wheelers” and trucks; and entertainment for the children. For the first time the Show also featured a Remote Controlled Radio Car Championship and A Mountain Bike Competition. In 2006 the show attracted 2 500 visitors (one day event), while in 2007 the show attracted 9 389 people (two day event). Last year a total number of 19 989 visitors attended over the two day period.
At last year’s show, Standard Bank financed deals totalling N$64 million.
