The vision of the company through the conference is to empower and enable Namibian youth and women to be masters of business and self employment in their communities not forgetting the small enterprises in the informal settlements.
“We need a fresh vision of business enterprise, in a society that has became predominantly urban and suburban,we want to create a platform and work ethic within the scope of small businesses in the informal settlements that offer youth and women a certain scope of dignity and freedom, and that will be become a tool for self made business women and youth” said Dr Mike Blaise Mateka Managing Director of Mazim Impex Investment.
According to Mateka, Mazim Impex Investments have been pioneers in the development of African youth in business and entrepreneurship while also empowering and capacitating women through motivational speaking and seminars. Hence the theme for the conference is self made businesswomen and men impacting and adding value to the community.
The company will also donate 20% of the conference’s proceedings to help the old age, women and youth.
In addition the company also hand out 20 free tickets to street vendors and small businesses that cannot afford to buy conference ticket
Mateka said the company currently responsible for establishing key business links between Namibia Angola, Congo and the DRC .
The export company have set a platform for large companies such as Hartlief Ltd and Tunacor to showcase their products in the Congolese markets.
Meanwhile the company will be traveling to all 14 regions to host the national Business Empowerment and Coaching Conference so that all business sectors small or large are empowered.
