NMC Construction gears up for further growth

Windhoek based NMC Construction Namibia, a member of the privately owned NMC Construction Group announced changes to its leadership structure on Tuesday, with the appointment of two new board members and the restructuring of its shareholding.

Since its inception in July 2010, NMC Construction Namibia has experienced momentous growth with a diverse project portfolio across the industrial, retail, social services, commercial and hospitality sectors.
In the restructuring of its shareholding, NMC announced that Hangala Group increased its shareholding to 30% through its wholly owned subsidiary Hangala Construction.
The new shareholding forges the long-term relationship between Hangala Group and NMC Construction Namibia.
NMC Construction Namibia non-executive chairman; Dr Leake Hangala welcomed the new board members and said, “our team is pleased to welcome Sara Naanda and Garth Robb to the board. Both Naanda and Robb bring a wealth of leadership and experience to the board which will lead NMC Construction Namibia during its next phase of growth.”
Robb will take over as the new Managing Director with effect on 3 March, replacing Chris McMinn, who played an instrumental role in establishing the business and his focus will now be in contracts management. Sara Naanda holds a Master Degree in Development Finance and serves as director, committee member and trustee on various boards of both private and public companies.  Sara’s exceptional track record as a financial leader will add immeasurable value to our long-term journey to profitable growth.”
