Banks vie for a slice of the action at Ongwediva Trade Fair

The North is abuzz with preparations for the Ongwediva Trade Fair that runs from Friday 26 August to Saturday 03 September.
“In light of the upcoming Ongwediva Trade Fair and focus on business in the North, Tomas Koneka Iindji, Area Business Manager of FNB Business Far North, said FNB Namibia is more than capable and ready to be the valued financial solutions provider of first choice, while providing all businesses with solutions and advice regarding cash management and how to grow their business.
FNB Namibia is one of the main sponsors of the trade fair, having allocated funding for both the official opening and the VIP lunch. “We also sponsor the SME tent which will cater for small and medium enterprise exhibitors. We offer a broad spectrum of banking services ranging from an ATM, account openings, digital banking activations and campaigns, to home loan applications, trust services (Wills and Testaments), asset financing and many more,’ said Toivo Kalla, the Area Sales and Service Manager of FNB’s Far North Area Office.
Iindji added: “Cash flow is often a concern for growing businesses or businesses with slow-paying receivables and we know that better cash flow and more time creates opportunities for growth for a business. It is not fair that businesses might go under or are punished with high interest rates simply because some clients fail to pay their accounts on time. At FNB we are prepared to help overcome burdens such as cash flow problems as we look at the bigger picture which is assisting the business to grow and develop. That is much more important than providing short term high interest loans which will hamper business growth.”
Iindji continued “the bank understands clients’ needs through the various phases of their business lifecycles – not only their banking needs, but also their investment, insurance and fiduciary needs. “Our business strategy is executed by a unique operating structure of the FNB, RMB and WesBank brands, which provide innovative and sustainable value propositions to our Corporate, Business, Consumer and Premium segments. Innovative products and channels such as e-Wallet, Commercial/Business loans, Commercial Property Finance, Franchising Finance and Automated Deposit Taking terminals & the FNB App, make the life of the business owner easier.”

Today the Typesetter is a position at a newspaper that is mostly outdated since lead typesetting disappeared about fifty years ago. It is however a convenient term to indicate a person that is responsible for the technical refinement of publishing including web publishing. The Typesetter does not contribute to editorial content but makes sure that all elements are where they belong. - Ed.
