CoW sets record straight
The City of Windhoek (COW) set the record straight in a press statement in regards to land allocation and land alienation procedures and processes as per the enabling legislation.
COW stated that, in regards with the sale of Erf 674 Kleine Kuppe to Dillish Mathews who submitted an application for a residential plot. The Mayor proposed to Council that the applicant could be honoured, by donation, a suitable plot to her for putting Namibia on the map.
The Erf has not yet been sold to Mathews and the property can only be deem to have been sold when a Deed of Sale is signed and a Title Deed is issued, the subject Erf was not donated as claimed in the media.
