And the car of the year is…

The 2012 South African Car of the Year will be chosen on 14 March by a panel of independent judges and the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists.
The 10 finalists are the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 125 kW MultiAir Distinctive; the Audi A6 3.0 T TDI Quattro S tronic; the Citroen DS4 THP 200 Sport; the Ford Focus 2.0 TDCI Trend Sedan Powershift; the Hyundai Elantra 1.8 GLS; the Kia Picanto 1.2 EX; the Mercedes Benz SLK 350 Blue Efficiency, the Peugeot 5008 2.0 HDi Active Man; the Suzuki Kizashi 2.4 SDLX Man; and the VW Jetta 1.4 TSI 118 kW Highline.
Faith Sankwasa, is the proud owner of the 2011 South African Car of the Year – the VW Polo.
According to Sankwasa, she loves the car because its sexy.
“I love the colour, it drives sexy and is fast. It is also very economical as it consumes little fuel thus cheaper on my pocket.”
