The Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group of Companies formed part of a clean-up campaign in Ondangwa On 24 October 2014. Stefanus Gariseb, O&L Group Environmental Manager: “I see a litter-free environment as an integral part of our health and wellbeing. The benefits of a clean and litter-free town include healthy citizens and a productive economy, flourishing business hubs – and ultimately a town that is highly attractive to investors and tourists. Thus, the responsibility to keep our surroundings clean rests with all of us.”  Gariseb went on to say that caring for the community and caring for the environment and embracing sustainability were some of the reputation drivers which propel the businesses of Ohlthaver & List and ultimately make it a success story and the best company to work for. He added: “At O&L we not only aim to employ sustainable natural resource management, but to constantly innovate so as to reduce our carbon footprint. Some of our innovations on the sustainability front include the largest solar-rooftop plant in Africa, which was installed at NBL, and Pick n Pay’s Energy Management System. O&L has also been an active member of the Recycle Namibia Forum since its inception to promote the 3 R’s – Recycle, Reduce & Reuse.” He called on all Ondangwa citizens to embrace one element of the greater plan for their town which is to keep Ondangwa clean and to look after the environment for future generations.
