Standard Bank Namibia launched the 2015 calendar for the Association for Children with Language, Speech and Hearing Impairments of Namibia (CLaSH) in Windhoek this week.
The 18th edition of the CLaSH calendar was published under the theme “The Richness of Life” which ties in with organisation’s 25th anniversary to be held in November this year.
“Standard Bank is proud to be associated to programmes that are aimed at empowering our communities through our corporate social investment initiatives. That is why as a bank we annually contribute 1 percent of our net profit after tax generated by our business operations to corporate social investment,” said Pieré Clarke Standard Bank’s Head of Credit for PBB and Rest of Africa.
In view of this Standard Bank Namibia sponsored a total of N$115 000 to CLaSH for the production of the 2015 calendar, while the remaining funds will be used for the CLaSH’s outreach activities. These activities include amongst others the general awareness on ear care, prevention of hearing loss, early education and sign language stimulation of children with communication difficulties.
