Handshake at last

TransNamib Holdings Limited and the Namibia Transport and Allied Workers Union NATAU,signed the 2014/2015 financial year Wage Settlement Agreement at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Windhoek on Friday, 26 September. The parties have been engaged in wage negotiations since June 2014. The signing officially brings to an end to the Labour Dispute which was referred and lodged with the Labour Commissioner by NATAU. Details of the Agreement include a Salary Increment of 8.6% for the Job Category A-Band, 7.6% for the B-Band and 6.6% for the C-Band. The Job Categories A-C Bands will also receive increments on their Housing Allowance. The signing ceremony which was attended by TransNamib’s Executive: Human Capital, Mr Webster Gonzo who signed on behalf of TransNamib Management, and Mr John Kwedhi and David Tjombe on behalf of NATAU.
