First three Big Brother Hotshots

Big BrotherAfrica fans will no longer have to wait until the launch of the show on 5 October 2014 to meet the Big Brother Hotshots housemates. M-Net and series producers Endemol SA unveiled the names of the first three participating housemates live on the official Big Brother Website, which was launches at 14:00 CAT on yesterday. The first three house mates are Alusa from Kenya, Butterply from Zimbabwe and Ellah from Uganda.

Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, M-Net Africa Regional Director (West Africa) said that they are breaking new ground and the website and social media are the perfect platforms to engage with the fans in real time. “The show will go on and both fans and housemates are in for some riveting television, coupled with all the drama, intrigue and heart stopping twists that have long become synonymous with the reality show,” added Mba-Uzoukwu.

Three Big Brother housemates will be introduced on a daily basis and this will be followed by regular updates on social media. The New Big Brother house is in the process of being designed and fitted with cutting edge camera equipment and broadcast technology.

 

“Although lips are sealed on what the ninth season will bring viewers, we can reveal that three of the housemates are Alusa from Kenya, Butterphly from Zimbabwe, and Ellah from Uganda. One thing these three housemates have in common is that they are used to the spotlight. Alusa  is an actor and producer, Butterphly is a radio and TV presenter and Ellah was crowned Miss Uganda last year.” said Mba-Uzoukwu.

Big Brother Hotshots will run 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198, with live eviction shows as well as the best of the live daily and weekly highlights shown on Africa Magic Family, Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic World and Maisha Magic.
