Enthusiasm flows over at Businesswomen Conference
Bennie’s Conference Centre in Ongwediva was again the focal point for the 15th Economist Businesswomen Conference where almost one hundred delegates attended this event which has become firmly established on the northern business calendar. The Economist Businesswomen Club, in association with Sara Elago, the Patron of the Conference and Businesswoman of the Year 1999, are the conference hosts. The Conference is organised by the Economist Businesswomen Club, a non-profit organisation constituting the single biggest organisation for women in Namibia endorsed by the Ministry of Women Affairs & Child Welfare and the NCCI. It has been in operation since 1997 and currently runs four development projects of which the conference is one. Conference delegates learn about business, career, social and legal issues in a relaxed, women-friendly environment, facilitated by a panel of experts coming from various disciplines. The conference ends with a banquet.
