New MD at Dairies

Ohlthaver & List (O&L) announced this week the appointment of Gunther Ling as new Managing Director of Namibia Dairies. This position has been served in an acting capacity for the past year by Peter Grüttemeyer, CEO of the O&L Group – who has since returned to his full-time role.
Executive Chairman of the O&L Group, Sven Thieme advised that Ling, in his most recent appointment, held the position of Technical Director at Namibia Dairies. Earlier in his career, he served in various financial positions within the group since he joined in 2007 as a financial controller at O&L Centre. “We believe in our value of growing our people and Gunther has most definitely grown over the years and proven to be most competent to take on this new challenge” said Thieme adding that ee was promoted to the Financial Manager of Broll Namibia in 2009 and then as Technical Director of Namibia Dairies in 2013.

“He has kept on growing himself and will now take the lead at Namibia Dairies” said Thieme.
A Namibian by birth, Ling grew up on his family’s farm and attended school at DHPS before starting his studies at Stellenbosch University. He completed his tertiary education with a Bachelor of Accountancy through UNISA in 2002. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2005 he did his articles at Deloitte in Windhoek and gained some overseas experience at Deloitte USA for two years after which he joined the O&L Group.
