Vivo Energy takes on the heat
Fire drill: The fire brigade puts out a fire during Vivo Energy’s fire simulation held last week to test their response and preparedness during a real time similar incident

“At Vivo Energy Namibia, we are committed to achieving and maintaining the highest international Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards. It is against this background that Vivo Energy Namibia simulated an emergency situation to test the company’s response to a crisis.”he said
The Disaster Risk Management Division of the City of Windhoek has been part of preparations. Other members of the oil industry also participated in the simulation. Iscor Street in Northern Industrial, Windhoek was closed off for the duration of the simulation which saw the Namibian Police and the traffic department fully evacuate staff in the depot and surrounding areas.
