Pro Tennis Academy (PTA) hosted its 5th tournament of the PTA Tennis Series last weekend, a mere three weeks after the 4th tournament but players continued to display exceptional tennis.
In the Midi category Hendrina Apollus continued her good run to take home the win ahead of her rival Adam Diggle. Georgia Orren held on to the third place in this category.
After a third place in the last tournament, Delicia Dirkse won the Beginners category. Randel Kavandje, who had been dominating this category since the beginning of the year, had moved up to the Intermediate category due to his overall accumulated points.

The second place was shared by Megano Sheeya and Faith Kahuure, whilst the third place was also shared between Mondre Orren and Mike Kambonde.
The most exciting action was shown in the Intermediate category. Due to the large number of entries, players were split into two groups battling it out in a round-robin group phase first then followed by the two best players in each group going through to the knock-out semi-finals and final.
In the final, Carlo van Rooi, who had claimed his first ever tournament victory three weeks ago, went head-to-head with Deonetto Dirkse. Van Rooi kept his composure to claim his second win in a row. Third place went to Hardley Wilhelm in this category.
