OTB Sport does it again
In soccer, Iipumbu SS (2013 first prize winner) lost to Gabriel Taapopi in the semi-finals which saw Gabriel Taapopi progress to the finals to meet Oshakati SS.
In the end Oshakati showed the regions who is best in the North by beating Gabriel Taapopi and walking away with the trophy and medals, as well as N$4,500 in OTB Sport vouchers.
The Netball tournament was won by Haudano SS. It is the first time that Haudano Netball team participated in this prestigious Best Of Schools tournament.
In the volleyball, Uukule had already claimed the floating trophy as they have won the BOS Volleyball more than three years, this year they walked away with the 1st and 2nd prize.
In the Basketball, the nerves of the Ruacana Girls and Mweshipandeka Boys teams dominated but unfortunately they were just not good enough to defeat the Gabriel Taapopi girl and boy teams.
Penny Shaluulange, OTB Sport manager and organiser for this event, said, “as we have been doing all the past years since we started this tournament, we closed our store in Oshakati and all pitched in to help. Our new partner and co-sponsor, Coca Cola, was also there to witness these brilliant school kids fighting for the ultimate prizes.
