Two new Permanent Secretaries take office

On the left Mr Gabriel Sinimbo has been appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, National Services, Sports and Culture and on the right Mr Nghidinua Daniel has been appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Regional and Local Government, Housing and Rural Development.

In recent developments Mr Nghidinua M. Daniel has been appointed as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Regional and Local Government, Housing and Rural Development, effective from 1 July, while Mr Gabriel P. Sinimbo was appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, National Services, Sports and Culture effective of 1 June, announced the Office of the Prime Minister in press statement.
Daniel until the time of his appointment held the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, since 2008. He has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Offshore Development Company and was seconded to serve as Action Managing Director of Namibia Wildlife Resorts. He holds a Master of Science Degree (Msc) in Public Policy & Management from the University of London and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of South Africa.

Meanwhile, Sinimbo took over from Peingeodjabi Shipo, who was appointed Namibia’s high commissioner to Nigeria last year, brings managerial experience having served in the position of Acting Chief Regional Officer of the Kavango West Region. During his tenure he was responsible for the setup of all relevant administrative components for the newly established Kavango West Regional Council. He further occupied the position of Director of Planning and Development of the ten Kavango Regional Council.
He holds a Masters degree in international business from Polytechnic of Namibia and an Honours Degree, Bachelor of public Policy from the School of Public leadership, University of Stellenbosh.
