Spanish flavour Peace and Cooperation

The Ambassador of Spain, H.E. Mrs. Carmen Díez (left) visited Saint Paul’s College in Windhoek earlier this month to present the “Peace and Cooperation School Award 2013” to the four learners who had submitted their mural titled “Express how to live together even when individual values and traditions may oppose each other.” This competition takes place internationally every year and is organized by Peace and Cooperation, a Spanish foundation created in 1982 to promote awareness of non-violence and creativity, and on building a world of solidarity. St Paul’s principal, Mrs. Ellen Gudde, the Head of the Primary School, Mrs. Lesley Saunders and the arts teacher, Mrs. Marais welcomed the ambassador for the ceremony and to take her on tour of the school founded in 1962 by the Tilburg Fathers.
