Professional services company, Global Progressive Synergy (GPS), which provides training for the Manica Group, is inviting their clients to nominate truly Namibian “Legends” to be featured in its upcoming “Legendary Namibia” campaign.  These could be people, places, fauna and flora, landmarks or even cuisine that make Namibia the great land it is.
Global Progressive said “through creative and participative marketing concepts, GPS, as a representative of Manica’s Talent Development Centre (TDC), aims to engage clients, who shift from passive audiences to active role players. Promotions become interactive learning mediums rather than dreaded interruptive advertising and all marketing and other business activities revolve around the philosophy of continuous people development through conventional and contemporary learning media.

The training company recently announced the five lucky winners of its first idiom quiz competition.  The Idiomatic Phrases campaign – an ingenious way to advertise training courses and simultaneously stimulate the minds of the target audience, ran from June 2013 to May 2014.
Humorous, punchy and informative idiomatic phrases such as “nothing to write home about”, “grab the bull by the horns”, “getting hot under the collar”, “to have your head in the clouds”, “excel yourself” were used to advertise various soft skills and IT training courses. Clients had to learn the idioms by heart as they took a challenging quiz to test their knowledge at the end of the campaign. Out of the total 85 entries received, 36% answered all the questions correctly.
