Joyce Meyer, celebrated christian author and speaker, arrived in Namibia on Tuesday for her Festival of Life which takes place this Friday and Saturday at Independence Stadium in Olympia. The entire Festival of Life will be sponsored by Joyce Meyer Ministries.
Mrs Hilda Basson Namundjebo, Managing Director of Oxygen Communications said that it took two years’ preparation to bring Joyce to Namibia and she is finally happy and content that she is here to pray for the Namibian nation.

The festival is not Joyce’s first involvement with Namibia. To date she has sponsored thousands of young leaders to attend leadership training programmes and sponsored numerous feeding schemes in the country. During the current visit, Joyce will also be visiting some of these projects which her ministry is supporting. She will also visit the Windhoek Prison where a gift pack will be handed to each female prisoner comprising cosmetics and spiritual reading material. All these initiatives have been done in close partnership with Namibian ministries and churches.
Entrance to the  festival is free and free transport will be available for the public who want to attend. Participants can check the Festival of Life posters that have been put up at bus stops to see see their nearest pick up point and times.
Joyce is accompanied by the worship group Hillsong from South Africa. The theme of the festival is “Live, Laugh and Learn.”
