Learning impaired without clean potable water
The Ministry of Education, supported by the Millennium Challenge Account Namibia, has started with the training of education inspectors, principals and teachers on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). The training programme is carried out by the Society for Family Health (SFH) and Desert Soul in all fourteen regions. This first group started their training this week in Windhoek. The primary target group of the project is learners from Grade 1 to 10 in all government primary, combined and junior secondary schools. Peers and parents of the learners and other community members are the second target group.
