(Photograph by Frank Albin) The Mandume Primary School in Katutura recently selected their Sportswoman of the Year. Winner is 13-year-old Victoria Shilongo, who was also selected for the NSSU U17 basketball team earlier this year. Victoria is a player of the Basketball Artists School, an after-school programme in Katutura supported by the German non-profit organisation ISIBINDI, the German Federal Foreign Office and the Namibian Basketball Federation. This is the second Sportswoman of the Year from the Basketball Artists School, as Helena Shuumbwa (now 12 years old) was chosen last year by Mandume Primary School. The whole Basketball Artists School celebrated this double win and was joined by FIBA instructor Dr. Dele Akpata from the University of Botswana. He  conducted an NBF coaching clinic in Windhoek and visited the Basketball Artists School during his free time.
