The Bank Windhoek National Volleyball Ladies League commenced two weekends ago with Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) setting the pace during the second round volleyball action this season.
The ladies in uniform won both their matches in straight sets against Revivals Volleyball Club (RVC) and Polytechnic of Namibia.
DTS also started the season with an impressive 3-0 win against Polytechnic, but lost in straight sets against Revivals. In last weekend’s games, DTS played with renewed energy, which may be attributed to their newly appointed coach, Styx. However their energy was not enough to beat a strong SKW side.

In the UNAM versus SKW game, the UNAM ladies gave it their best but were eventually succumbed to the SKW ladies. Last weekend marked the start of the games for the Men’s League. It was apparent that some teams were still warming up and coming back into their game. The big game of the weekend was between Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club and UNAM. KNVC, played a very tight four set game and prevailed over UNAM.
All the games of the weekend provided spectacular volleyball action and the stands were packed from the first games till the last. The results forecast a very exciting season for Namibian Indoor Volleyball.
The next games will be played on 7 June in Windhoek for the Ladies League and in Grootfontein and Walvis Bay for the Men’s League.
