The Agricultural Division of FNB Namibia recently sponsored the Namibian Stud Breeders Association (NSBA) with a cheque of N$40,000 at their Meat Production School held at Heja Lodge.
Christo Viljoen, Manager Agri and Tourism at FNB Namibia, said that “This event only takes place every second year, and this was only the second time it was held. FNB Agri is the main sponsor with an amount of N$ 40,000, and we are very happy with the turnout of about 120 people.” Viljoen added, “We at FNB Agri are proud to be associated with this prestigious event. We believe that it has added value to the agricultural sector. This was also an opportunity for us to better understand Agri at grass-roots level.

It equips us as responsible financiers to give proper and relevant advice to our clients. The contribution is proof of our commitment as a player in the agricultural sector to make sure that agriculture is protected as a sustainable industry for future generations,” he added. Jacques Els, Manager of the association, advised that the two-day event was a great success. The main theme of the Meat Production School was “Increased Meat Production”. The two days focussed on training and information-sharing, and the aim was to equip farmers to better understand the challenges facing them, to be pro-active and to make informed choices about the future.
